Adding photos to your blog for impact & empathy
Photos elicit emotions and responses …
.. from your visitors – isn’t that what you want?
Our eyes quickly tire when viewing content on a computer screen so liven it up! Images add interest, emotion and by breaking up your content with photos you will be giving your readers’ eyes a subconscious break.

Place your image near the top of your post to draw in the visitor. Don’t be afraid to add several images to a post and please make sure that whatever images you choose they have some relevance to what you are writing about.
Tip: DO NOT "borrow" images from other sites – this will get you into trouble sooner or later.
Resourses
We think that istockphoto is the best sourse for images on the web. You can purchase royalty free images from a $1 each. The concept was so good that they were recently aquired by Getty Images!
There are millions of Creative Commons photos in flickr’s database, but finding the right one can take time. iFlickr is a wordpress plugin that allows you to easily find free creative commons images on flickr and insert them into your blog post while automatically putting the attribution link underneath.
You will need a free Flickr account.
