3 Social Media mistakes made by Realtors

Social Media is not going to make Realtors more money or help them close more real estate deals!

This is what most Realtors are thinking about social media

… and they would be correct because most of them are making some really fundamental mistakes when it comes to implementing social media into their overall business plan.

These mistakes are not specific to social media to real estate agents, they are fundamental to every business whether online or offline.

So ask yourself, are you making these 3 mistakes with your Social Media Plan?

  1. Spending time on SM sites or blogging without a clear objective?
  2. Not listening to your audience
  3. Growing your network without smart organization

Social Media & Blogging for Realtors is a game changer!  Before taking action, before buying any new web/blog sites, fancy marketing materials or technology for your business STOP!

Spend the next few hours really thinking about the following and then go ahead and move forward with implementing your new social media plan.

  • What do you really want Social Media to do for your real estate business?  Be specific!  Remember Social Media (SM) will NOT close more deals for you, so this should not be something you want it to do for your business!

  • How much time can you commit to spending on SM sites like Facebook, Youtube and Twitter daily?

  • Setup "Facebook lists" to organize all of your friends and fans.  This will allow you to control your marketing messages to the appropriate group of people: friends & family, investors, buyers, sellers, clients, etc…

After you have spent some quality time on the above bullets, now it is time for the most important lesson of all ….

… LISTEN TO YOUR AUDIENCE!
