Warning – if you update the iPhone software to 3.1 you will lose tethering, the update will cripple your new found function

Peter October 11, 2009 at 1:00 pm: Hi Milly, after Apple released the 3.1 update it looks like they removed the link, great pity it does not work anymore.

I understand that in other markets (Europe for instance) that tethering is available from the wireless carrier. No such luck here with ATT&T yet – maybe if we badger them ….?
