Because Google loves new fresh content and blogs are designed to be search engine friendly.
So why not give Google what it wants?
So what do you write about you might well ask?
Our best advice is to picture the best real estate client you could ever have. Think about it for a while, get a really clear picture in you mind about what that would look like. Here is an example:
“My best client would be a single professionally employed female in her mid 30′s who drives a VW Golf (with the flower in the vase). She has been saving hard over the past 2 years for a down payment. She has no kids, is fit, goes to the gym 3 times a week and has a cat. She wants to buy a home in xxxxx neighborhood.”
Do you picture her? Now picture you own best client and keep that picture in your head and keep in mind her interests, not yours when you write your website copy. More on that subject here.
Write about what you are passionate about …
… the neighborhoods and events, real estate sale statistics of your chosen farm/niche area. Some real estate bloggers have chosen photos of their communities to draw in consumers. Saint Paul real estate agent and blogger Teresa Boardman is a perfect example of how to do this and has created a huge following. Has this lead to business? Yes, of course it has!
Tip: Teressa advises new bloggers to post answers to questions that clients and consumers have asked offline. Simple strategy but very, very effective.
Do research or your real estate market and share that information in new and useful ways. Find problems in your marketplace and suggest solutions. People connect with truth - never be afraid to be yourself, let the real you shine through your words to reveal your personality. Don’t worry, we are not talking about being very personal here, you don’t need to discuss your recipies or your kids!
If you wrote a 200 to 300 word entry in your blog 2 to 3 times a week, each entry might take 30 minutes, but consider at the end of the year you would have maybe 100 to 150 posts that have been indexed by the search engines – posts that are in the search engines database that could be searched by a consumer. That’s powerful stuff!
