A property structured website/blog that has high ranking for short-tail keywords will generally have top rank for long-tail keywords as well. For those sites, long-tail keywords were the result of going after the short-tail + having quality content. Focusing on niche long-tail keywords with high conversion rates are a great way to initially gain traction although in my opinion “dominating” a market is involves top rankings for both short and long-tail keywords.

A property structured website/blog that has high ranking for short-tail keywords will generally have top rank for long-tail keywords as well. For those sites, long-tail keywords were the result of going after the short-tail + having quality content.
