The first version of Internet Explorer 1 ..

..debuted on August 16, 1995 reports Mashable. Based on Mosaic, which was a web browser Microsoft had licensed from Spyglass Inc. – it was a pretty basic browser with little ability to format a page.

Peter started building real estate websites back in 1997 in the days of dial up when every element of a site had to be optimized and search engine optimization was way easier.

Peter's first site was LiveinLaJolla.com which at the time used to rank #1 on almost every search engine (remember Lycos, Web Crawler and the others?) for almost any term starting with La Jolla icon smile Internet Explorer is 15 years old today

Here is an image of the site back in 1999 from the archives  – those were the pioneer days, and when Peter had way more hair!

Just a little bit – I much prefer FireFox these days. The add on plugins available are awsome … Peter Toner

How about Chrome? I had installed it and was really blown away by the speed but returned to the FireFox because of all the plug-ins and add-ons… Ditched Flock because of its Glacier speed.

Does Chrome now compare to Firefox in terms of features?
