How to get the attention of Google for your real estate blog ..
Google's algorithms are a carefully guarded secret, but it's not hard to work out what Google is looking for when their search crawlers come looking at your site.

Google is likely to take in these factors:
- how often the blog is updated
- how old it is
- how relevant the content is
- links in and links out of the blog
- internal links to other relevant posts
- the interactions on your blog
The last bullet point is important because blogs are built for two way conversations (unlike static web pages) so Google expects there to be comments. You will be marked down if you don't.
The problem recently is that the conversation appears to have moved over to Facebook from our blog – we observed this trend and wrote about it in a related article.
BTW – we look at every aspect of blog setup on our Social Media School to ensure that Google notices your blog.
So you can imagine how excited I was to discover a WordPress plugin that automatically copies Facebook comments on your Fan page back to your blog -
- this is a big deal!
It is so awesome because it kills two birds with one stone and requires little set up and no maintenance! This how it works:
Download and install Facebook Comments Importer on your blog. The easiest way is to install directly from your WordPress dashboard. Activate the plugin.
Now you need to find your Fan Page ID – just click on your profile photo on your Fan Page

Your ID number is these set of numbers in the address bar:

Copy these numbers.

Go to your dashboard / settings and click on the FB Comments Importer link:
There is only one option – adding your Fan Page ID – so go ahead and paste your Fan Page ID into the box and hit save.

If all went well the screen will show the right test results.
Make sure that you post your blog articles to your Facebook Fan Page like this:
That's it – from now on the plugin will check every hour for comments posted on Facebook and import them to the appropriate post on your blog – just like this:

Forgive me please Facebook, for I have egg on my face :-(
The Facebook fun begins
One vision of the future for real estate agents
Onswipe’s WordPress plugin – review.

Good solid information. But, I much prefer the Facebook to Wordpress plugin Facebook CommentsTNG from http://www.philtopia.com/?page_id=292 (No, I am not affiliated with them in any way)
I've been using it since last October and started doing so because I saw that the conversation was taking place on Facebook, but I didn't want to lose the Google comment love on my blog.
Thanks for the tip Jerry. I took a look at CommentsTNG and it does exactly the same job as Facebook Comments Importer.
Probably the only reason I would switch is TNG’s ability to pull comments from a notes page, but we don’t need that functionality so I’m sticking with what we have got.
