Set up your Facebook Profile
If you already have a Facebook account: Go to your Profile page and review your personal information to ensure it is still relevant and current.
It’s always a good idea to check your privacy settings. You should also review some of the tips we give below …
DON’T have a Facebook Profile yet?
Please follow along:
Create an account – go to Facebook.com and fill in the “Sign Up” form, choose a password that is easy to remember, but hard for others to guess. Never give your password to anyone.
You will be sent a confirmation email so make sure that the email address you supply is valid.
After you have signed up you should “grab” your preferred username – it should preferably be “yourname”.
If possible this one name should be on all the most important SM sites including Facebook, Twitter YouTube and Yahoo etc … it can’t hurt your personal brand awareness 
You can select a Facebook username at http://www.facebook.com/username, select “Check availability” and if it’s available click “Confirm”.
