Beverly Carter’s tragic story will be seen Nationwide this Sunday, as one of Dateline’s latest episodes.
This episode is sure to put the spotlight on how vulnerable Realtors are, when they meet strange prospects during the course of conducting business. Local correspondent Andrea Canning is to be featured in an exclusive interview with Carter’s convicted killer Aaron Lewis.
Local Arkansas TV station KARK reports that the one hour long episode will feature lead investigator from Pulaski County Sheriff’s Office, Jeff Allison and his perspective on the case.
Dateline viewers will also hear the recording Carter, while held captive by her murderer, left for her husband before she was killed. This recording will be heard for the first time outside of the courtroom,
Carter’s family will also describing disturbing details found on her cell phone.
Since Beverly’s murder, the National Association of Realtors has stepped up it’s education of it’s members, but many still think it can’t happen to them.
Recommended by the NAR, verifying and screening strange prospects BEFORE they meet with a real estate agent is a big step towards safety in the industry.
Check out VerifyPhotoID – the one and only mobile app that allows agents to verify a prospects identity. Ask your prospects to submit their photo ID, usually their drivers license – the online process adds other useful screening data and checks against a National Sex Offender list.
